This Saturday, November 19, Book Fort will host the bi-annual Book Fort Fair at our shop in Revival Food Hall. Join us for an afternoon of bookselling, mingling, and drinking!

We will host over 20 indie publishers, record labels, and literary organizations from Chicago and all over the Midwest. We also have literary-themed cocktails, a screenprinting workshop, a button making station hosted by Busy Beaver, live typewriter poetry courtesy of Poems While You Wait, AND Plastic Crimewave’s Steve Krakow DJ-ing all day! A lot of moving parts here. Did we mention admission is free?
Participating organizations include Curbside Splendor, Dumpster Tapes, 2nd Story, Burial Day Books, Lake Claremont Press, Read/Write Library, Fields Magazine, Rose Metal Press, Poems While You Wait, Belt Publishing, Tortoise Books, 7 Vientos, Midwestern Gothic, Soberscove Press, Spudnik, Agate, Allium Press, Featherproof, Green Lantern Press, Poetry, 826Chi, Slag Glass City, HoZac Records, and The Point Magazine.
Book Fort is a wandering book fair that takes places each year at a handful of festivals. They are interested in the intersection of literature, music, and performance, and seek to create meaningful interactions between communities, independent publishers, and literary organizations.
